Two new European satellites were launched on Tuesday from the launch site in French Guiana.
These are the thirteenth and fourteenth probe which will be part of the Galileo global navigation network, which will eventually consist of 24 satellites.
Each satellite carries the name of a child from a European country. The satellites that were launched into space are called Daniele (for a child from Lithuania) and Alizee (Luxembourg).
During this year the ‘Dutch’ satellite Tijmen will be launched. The satellites float in space with a distance of 22,000 kilometers from Earth.
